Our Space

The Stories

“I was diagnosed with brain cancer and treated in Boston. The time I spent with Our Space was amazing. It was just fun to sit around, talk, and share our creativity with the other people. It gave me a distraction from everything going on. It truly is an amazing organization.”

"Our Space Rocks has been a wonderful addition to the programming, which we offer to the children and families receiving care at the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Unit at Mass General Hospital for Children. ‘ Our Space Rocks' monthly events are "circled" on the calendar by many of our patients. I have been so impressed by the creativity of the activities which have appealed to children of all ages(including the patients' parents and grandparents!). Gail and Peggy exude warmth and create an incredible opportunity for the children to be themselves and have fun!”

Heather E. Peach, MS, CCLS Child Life Specialist, MassGeneral Hospital for Children

“Peggy and Gail from Our Space bring so much joy and happiness to our pediatric oncology patients and families at Boston Children's Hospital. During their monthly art parties on our inpatient unit, patients and their families have the opportunity to create fun and amazing art projects together while connecting with other patients and families undergoing similar medical situations. We cannot thank our friends from Our Space enough for their generosity and the time that they share with us. We look forward to their visits each month!”
