What’s happening with Our Space?

answerOur Space offers one-day creative arts programs on a regular basis at:
  • Massachusetts General Hospital, Pediatric Oncology/Hematology Outpatient Clinic, Boston MA
  • Boston Children’s Hospital, Boston MA
  • Floating Hospital For Children- Pediatric Oncology/Hematology, Tufts Medical Center Boston MA
  • Jimmy Fund Clinic at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston MA
  • Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Charlestown MA
  • Boston Medical Center, Boston MA
  • Joslin Diabetes Center, Boston MA

Our Space also hosts monthly evening programs at Christopher’s Haven, Boston MA, and The Ronald McDonald House at Boston Harbor, Charlestown MA residences for families from out of state whose children are in treatment for cancer and other serious illnesses.

In addition, Our Space brings monthly programming to The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp in Ashford CT, a summer visit to Camp Casco in Becket MA, and provides home visits as requested.

Our Space is committed to providing more one-day programs to reach as many children/teens as possible.


questionHow can my child/teen participate in Our Space programs if he/she isn’t receiving treatment at one of the hospitals where Our Space is providing services?

answerPlease contact us directly to inquire about a home visit.


questionWhat ages can participate?

answerOur Space serves clients ages 1 - 21 who are facing cancer and other serious illnesses. Our Space also includes friends, siblings and family members in its programming.


questionIs there a fee to attend Our Space programs or events?

answerEvents for Our Space are free of charge.


questionWhat is the background of the founders of Our Space?

answerThe co-founders, Gail Erdos and Peggy Tryon, serve as co-directors. Both Gail and Peggy have advanced degrees in education and child development and over 20 years experience working with children in varied capacities, including teaching, occupational therapy, tutoring and counseling. Peggy and Gail are both cancer survivors and used art during their treatment and recovery.
